Our First snow day!!!

Okay so the weather man was right this time. The snow fell, and fell and fell. The kids enjoyed it a lot, but even more so they enjoyed the day off school. Danny still had a soccer game that night at 8:50 PM (so late for that age I think) .

Hope you enjoyed the snow! Now I am ready for the Sun and Warm weather!!!!!!

This week......

Well, my friend Cheryl has had my bottom to the gym 4 days this past week!! Up at 4:45 am to do 2 miles on the treadmill then back that evening for a class, Wow she is tuff. Good thing I love her!!! Anyway, it has felt great! I hope I can keep it up.

The kids had a normal week, knock on wood, no one has been sick. Danny said a few days his belly hurt, but not enough for him to miss school (so I say).
Tuesday night we had Math night at school, and the kids had a blast. I learned alot too!! Simple, easy and fun ways to challenge them in math. You would not belive that those kids won an attendance prize!!!

Today we had our great snow start, and the kids are praying really, really hard for a snow day tomorrow!!!!

Till then!!!!!!!!!

Stay health!

Okay, I'm Keeping up here!

Let's see, Great long weekend! I went Scrap booking in Ditmer, MO. Had a great time, caught up 28 more pages of our family album (2006 that is) but hey, I'm working on it! Great thing for me is that I am really together now with my pictures for the rest of my 2006 book and have started getting my 2007 together so that I can flow right on in to it. But most exciting for me is that I have my last Monday of the month events to attend and an overnight in February and I am hopping by March (keep my fingers crossed) I will be working on My 07 book and getting it done by fall only to try and catch up with 08 at that point! Oh well, at least I know I will never run out of scrap booking to do!!!!

Dan is doing great with his knee. He is recovering very well. He wished he would have done it sooner! He is hoping to be on the golf course by next weekend! His mom moved to a skilled nursing home last Monday and seemed to be making a little progress only to end up back at the hospital last night. With breathing and heart issues. They have her stabilized and hopefuly will start the recovery process again!

Bailey closed up her cookie sales yesterday! She fell a little short of her goal, but we will also get credit for booth sales that our troop will be doing, so she is hoping to make it up then!

Danny is playing soccer and getting his booty beat! There team is in a tough league this year! But I think he is still enjoying it. He is very excited and making plans for his upcoming Birthday! So excited to be 6.

Emily is Emily, she is board at school and cant wait to be a big kid. She is also planning her upcoming Birthday and excited to be 5. Kindergarten registration is the same week as her birthday and she thinks that is so very cool.

All 3 kids are wanting a Lizard of some kind! Man just what I need something else to feed, water and take care of. Sometimes I think that I cant wait to make it to a nursing home for someone to take care of ME!

Lets see!

Let's see, so we are back in the swing of school for the kids and I, started indoor soccer for Bailey and Danny, back to work for Dan, with a short break on Friday. He took the day off to have his knee scoped and repaired, surgery went great and he has started therapy. Faye (Dan's Mom) is back in the hospital (which is always a long road for her). She starts in with Bronchitis and dehydration and ends up staying for a while then on the skilled nursing before she ever makes it back home. This time we are hoping for a short stay!!

Bailey started her Girl Scout Cookie sales last Saturday, and she is funny with it. She will make her phone call, give her, "Hi, do you want to buy some gs cookies?" the she hands the phone off really quick to me cause she has no idea what the heck the cookie types are!!!! She set her self a goal of 160 cookies to get the item she wants, and she is having to work for it!!!

Kids and I are really excited about our long weekend, you would think that we had not had a break in months. To really top it off (which I have not told Danny or Bailey yet, is that Emily and I get off Tuesday also)

Have a great MLK weekend and hopefully you are lucky enough to get Monday off also!!!

Happy New Year (and Merry Christmas)

I know I said I was going to be better about this but hey it was the Holiday's!! Any way a quick catch up:
Christmas was great! Kids had a wonderful Christmas this year, the older they have gotten, the more fun they have become with the excitement. We started our celebration with the Bloomfield family at our house on Sunday the 23rd. It has been many months since we have all gotten together, and I thought it was the best gathering of all for us. Of coarse we were blessed to have the joke's of Jimmy that kept us in stitches, the kids all got along great and were so excited to spend time together. Our next stop on our holiday adventure was on Monday the 24th. It was our annual Drezek family party at my mom's house. The kids were so excited cause Grandma and Grandpa Drezek got them a Wii game! Yeah baby!! It was a great time with my bothers and there families, Grandma Dorothy and Gene and Marie and Amanda, and a visit from Jason, Sandy and Jaxon. They to finish up the party with the annual visit of Doug and Rick's friends are always a sure hit for the night of drinking.
"Santa was here" was the excitement of Bailey on Christmas morning, followed by "When can we wake Emmie?" Of course she was the last one up and the kids did everything they should not have to wake her. But they were all pleased with there gifts. We got to enjoy the day relaxing and putting together toys before we packed up to head to the lake!!! We spent Christmas day till New Years day at The Lake of the Ozarks. VERY nice and relaxing. Emmie has an asthma issue going on since Xmas eve so we got her on steroids and antibiotics to get through the week.

On Friday is when the real fun began (for all of us), we were joined by the Meyer and Williamson families at the lake. The adults got to do some major catching up, the mom's got to shop, the dads got to golf, the kids got to play each night till 1 am. We went to dinner, went to movies and yes, played many many hours of Wii. What fun it was. I had to have a day to recover from all the late nights (I am getting old you know). They all took off on New Years Eve Morning, but left many memories!!!!

We (Dan, Myself, and the kids) rang in the new year walking to bed! Oh how tired we were.
