I know I said I was going to be better about this but hey it was the Holiday's!! Any way a quick catch up:
Christmas was great! Kids had a wonderful Christmas this year, the older they have gotten, the more fun they have become with the excitement. We started our celebration with the Bloomfield family at our house on Sunday the 23rd. It has been many months since we have all gotten together, and I thought it was the best gathering of all for us. Of coarse we were blessed to have the joke's of Jimmy that kept us in stitches, the kids all got along great and were so excited to spend time together. Our next stop on our holiday adventure was on Monday the 24th. It was our annual Drezek family party at my mom's house. The kids were so excited cause Grandma and Grandpa Drezek got them a Wii game! Yeah baby!! It was a great time with my bothers and there families, Grandma Dorothy and Gene and Marie and Amanda, and a visit from Jason, Sandy and Jaxon. They to finish up the party with the annual visit of Doug and Rick's friends are always a sure hit for the night of drinking.
"Santa was here" was the excitement of Bailey on Christmas morning, followed by "When can we wake Emmie?" Of course she was the last one up and the kids did everything they should not have to wake her. But they were all pleased with there gifts. We got to enjoy the day relaxing and putting together toys before we packed up to head to the lake!!! We spent Christmas day till New Years day at The Lake of the Ozarks. VERY nice and relaxing. Emmie has an asthma issue going on since Xmas eve so we got her on steroids and antibiotics to get through the week.
On Friday is when the real fun began (for all of us), we were joined by the Meyer and Williamson families at the lake. The adults got to do some major catching up, the mom's got to shop, the dads got to golf, the kids got to play each night till 1 am. We went to dinner, went to movies and yes, played many many hours of Wii. What fun it was. I had to have a day to recover from all the late nights (I am getting old you know). They all took off on New Years Eve Morning, but left many memories!!!!
We (Dan, Myself, and the kids) rang in the new year walking to bed! Oh how tired we were.
