Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hope Your Christmas was as wonderful as it was for our house! Good food, family and friends. My Children were SURPRISED by Grandma and Grandpa Drezek with a new member to our family. They got a 9 week old Shih-Poo (shih tzu poodle mix). He is white with a brown mask and a touch of black mixed in. Very sweet pup that LOVES to be held. Good thing too cause my kids want to HOLD HIM ALL THE TIME. We have to set the timer to take turns. It will wear off soon I am sure, then I will be doing all the work!!!!!

2008 Christmas will be one to remember for my Kiddo's!!!!!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of our Family and Friends.

An update for Faye is that she had a blood transfusion on Sat the 13th. She had been doing great and her counts were down to 13 or 14. She took a turn on Mon or Tues and her counts are back up to 22 again. I think they are checking to see where the infection in again. Will update as we find out more!!

Faye Update at 3:11 PM Friday

Well there is NO staph infection which is very good. Her white counts did not move over night, which is good in the sense they did not go up. She has C diffiicile colitis, which is VERY contagious. If you visit you have to wear a gown and gloves and you can not touch her with an unprotected area of your body. At this point they are giving her 3 different Antibiotics to see if she can fight it. One complication could be that her colon is inflamed and could perforate, which at that point she becomes septic. Once you have this you are very susceptible to it coming back.

I will update as more becomes available.

About Faye (Dan's Mom)

Well there is lots going on in our lives but the biggest is Dan's Mom.......................................
She was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday with a stomach bug, severe dehydration, and mini strokes..............boy what a change 2 days makes.......................

They did a c-scan on her abdomen and pelvis today (Thurs) and also thought she had a staph infection.
Turns out her colon is infected and severely swollen. They are trying an antibiotic but does not look promising (she has been on antibiotics since Tues). They are going to take her blood counts in the morning but if they continue to rise like they have been there are 2 choices:
1st is leave it and continue to treat with antibiotics, if continues on the same path that would mean she will become septic and probably not make it through a week.
2nd is surgery…. This is very complicated due to her health. If she can make it though it she would most likely be in ICU for weeks to months given her health. Do to the fact she is on steroids for her breathing (it makes it harder and longer for healing process) that will make the healing process even worse. Also, she will most likely be put on a ventilator and then have to be weaned off (which would also be a long hard process for her). Not to mention that after all of this her life expectancy would only be 6mos to a year at best. In the surgery they would remove her colon; she will have a bag and run lots of risks of dehydration and infections.
Dan and Jim were with her tonight and she does not want surgery. The family does not want her to go through all of that.
Everyone agrees that she will not have the surgery.
We will know Friday about the blood counts so it is now just a waiting game.

The family is just praying that the Good Lord does what ever his will is but with out a lot of pain and suffering.
I will keep you posted.

Great Thanksgiving weekend!

What a great weekend it was....
We started Wednesday with the day off work and school (well the kids and i did, Dan had to work Wed) I watched 5 great kids that day and enjoyed it a lot. Wednesday night Bailey had her first Thanksgiving Tournament game. They won some crazy number (the boards stopped counting) and some of our team friends came back to the house for pizza and good company.

Thursday was a great day............. Relaxing morning, followed by a great meal at Mom and Dad's, followed by online shopping with my soon to be sister in law.

Friday started just a few hours after that at 3:45 am. UP AND AT EM to Wal mart, Target, and then Toys R Us. Great deals. but still more to go.
Had to leave the shopping scene to watch Bailey's 2nd game in the tournament. They won that game some crazy number also. I got to catch a great nap then we took Danny and Emily to see "Bolt" and then went to watch the older Bino's teams.

Saturday was a crazy early game. 7am- WOW but they won again (some crazy number) and we are now off to the FINALS.
Saturday was a great lazy day. We went to breakfast after the game, took a nap and watched movies. Love these kind of weekends.

Today we have Bailey's game at 6pm and some running i need to do but other than that just enjoying our 1st snow fall of the season!!!!!!

Hope your Thanksgiving weekend was as enjoyable as ours was.

You know you are getting old when...............

Well after a night of friends stopping by to check out the TUBS of scrapbooking stuff that Lesa brought over. Major Craziness began on Saturday morning at 9 am.
Off to get 3 birthday gifts then games galore!!
So 1st Birthday party was Saturday morning, followed by and overlap of Emilys game which she scored 2 goals. Then jump in the car to pick up Carly and head to Bailey's game, which they won 3-1 with Carly scoring the game winning goal (they were tied 1-1 most of the game, up till the very end). Followed by a RUN AND JUMP to the car for Danny's game which they won and Danny made an assist in that game! We then RAN to get everyone packed up. Bailey had a sleepover Birthday party, and Danny and Emily had a night at Grandma and Grandpa's. WHOO HOO mom and dad get a night out! (yeah only wish it was that exciting)
We were so tired from all the running of the day that we went to dinner and home on the couch to watch a show that we did not even make it though all the way without falling asleep!!!! We are sad!
Anyway, we finished the weekend with Bailey having another game and all 3 kids having a birthday party they went to at Pump It Up.
Boy are we tired and going to bed early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Busy weekend!!

Well for me the weekend always starts on Thursday. See in my job I work M-TH then have Fri - Sun off each week. This past week was a different week for us. We started Monday morning at 2 am. Danny woke me up telling me he threw up in his bed, well needless to say I flew out of bed, got him to the bathroom and cleaned up the mess in the room. After settling him on the couch with towels surrounding him and a trash can next to his side, I struggled to fall back to sleep. I found an episode of Desperate House Wives on a rerun, and fell back to sleep.

Well that explains how Monday was going to be!!! Actually, it was a very relaxing peaceful day just Danny and I. He laid around, played his wii, laid around, then SKIPPED to the bus stop to get his sister off the bus.

Back to School and Work for Tuesday, but oh rain, so OH darn NO SOCCER PRACTICE! oops did I sound excited about that?

Wednesday was a normal running day for us!

NOW THURSDAY IS WHEN ALL THE FUN BEGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I start my morning the way I always do, up at 7 am and straight to the shower. When I got out of the shower my home and cell phone were going NUTS. I answer my home phone to Cheryl asking me if I had heard all the craziness that was going on . Answering NO due to the fact I was still DRIPPING wet, she goes on to tell me about the "killer" lose in O'Fallon MO. Long story short, they caught him but not without much concern by my mom, my husband, the parents of the preschool, and many others who were in the area at the time!!!
To end my day we went to the rehearsal dinner for my nephew Michael who married my new niece Molly (but we will get there soon)

Friday was a day of helping Bailey's teacher with a project (which I really enjoyed), having lunch with my kids at school then home to clean and await the arrival of the 6 kids who joined us for "Kids night out".

Saturday started at 7:45 am with my feet hitting the floor and not stopping till 1:30 am. Started with shopping for birthday presents for parties we had this weekend, on to Soccer for Bailey, then Emily, then Danny, finishing up that part of our day picking Emily up from her friends party and home to shower for the wedding. After getting everyone showered, dressed and out the door within a hour and 15 min off to the ZOO it was for Michael and Molly's reception (did you notice I didn't even get to go to the wedding cause of all the craziness?) What a great place for a wedding reception............. BEAUTIFUL SETTING, BEAUTIFUL BRIDE, HANSOM GROOM, AND A FUN GROUP OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY. A perfect party!!!!!

Sunday (today) the girls did not even get out of bed till 10:30am. They were wiped out from all the dancing!! Danny just put chairs together Sat night when he got tired..........
We headed to a birthday party for the kids friend Alex (it was lazier tag) Kids had a blast. Dan golfed in a tournament all day today. Lucky dog is off work tomorrow.

Off to bed tonight.......................and ready to start all over again this week!!!! Hope your weekend was less craziness but still fun!!

Some say crazy, some say insane, I prefer ADVENTUROUS!!

Bailey with her friend Jenna, Danny with his friend Garrick, Emily with her friend Taylor and JUST ME all packed up Saturday morning and went to Rombach's Pumpkin Patch. We had a beautiful morning and a lot of fun!

Over a month now

Boy just when I get into the swing of blogging i slip again!! (sounds like my dieting or lack of).

Life has been FULL of excitement the last few weeks.
Let see where to begin....................
Kids are enjoying school this year, Emily loves her teacher. She sings a lot in class, shows the kids sign language for many things she says, and is just an all around great teacher and fun for the kids.
I know Danny is loving school and his teacher, Dan asked him to skip 3 days of school to go to the lake and golf with him last week and Danny told him that he did not want to miss school.
Bailey, well let see she really likes school, loves her teacher but would still miss in a heart beat! she has her first (and second) crush on 2 different boys!!!! One is in her class and the other has been a family friend for about 6 years now! WOW i am getting really scared!

The kids have kicked off the soccer season, and are doing great!!! Emily loves soccer.... asks all the time "how many games this weekend?" She is a great goal scorer and will fall back to play defence when needed! I hope the love of the game continues for her.

Danny is still trying to convince us that he hates soccer but I tell you a kid the scores and plays the way he does I think it is more that he wants to be playing Wii instead!!!

Bailey is loving the game as usual. She is playing on a select team this year that Pat and Dan are coaching together. Bailey has made some new friends on this team and really enjoys it.

Dan is coaching Emily's team, assistant coaching Bailey's team with Pat and loving watching Danny play. I love seeing Dan so involved with the kids sports, but most of all the kids love it.

Dan just switched jobs..... actually started today. He went back to First National where he worked before Associated. He loved it at FNB so I look forward to him being happy again!!!!

As for me......... Lets see, I am working back at preschool again but different position (Science and Art Teacher) I am loving that so much. I am the Team Manager for Bailey's soccer club (Bino's) Loving that too. Scrap booking a couple times a month (that goes without saying that I love it) And just watching the kids play soccer and helping with homework and enjoying every moment.

WOW HOW TIME JUST FLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will try to keep it under a month!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Bailey!! Big 8 year old!!

Today my baby turned 8. I can still remember walking into the hospital on Sunday night at about 8 PM afraid they were going to send me home (they did the night before) and worried about becoming a Mom ( I get tears just thinking back on it). Now I'm an old pro, 3 kids later, I got it!

So the BIG day really was that- A HUGE DAY for her. Dan decided that he was going to take her out 1/2 day today to do something fun. Well at least that was the original plan. 1/2 day??? shoot the girl only went to school for an hour! He picked her up at 10:15, they went to the ARCH, went on the tour and up in the arch, went on a helicopter ride, then off to the zoo they went. They got home at 6:30 PM, we down loaded the camera to see the fun pictures and off to dinner we went. She picked ETHYL's, the kids like to play on the outdoor playground. Grandma and Grandpa Drezek joined us for the fun.

She was so excited last nigh she could not go to sleep, it was 11 PM before her little body finally shut down. And jumped out of bed at the first sound made in the house! Tonight, well that was a totally different story!! She couldn't keep her poor eyes open after that day with Dad.

I am so glad she got to do that! She kept telling her dad "this is my best birthday EVER". Oh yeah, we forgot the presents: ipod shuffle, digital camera, 2 pairs of PJ's, ipod docking station, ear rings and 2 new webkinz. That was just from Dad, Mom, Emily and Danny! Grandma and Grandpa gave her CASH!!!!

OH MY FORGOT! When they were at the ZOO, they went to the sea lion show and the man picked her as his helper to feed them and do tricks with them. I am posting some pictures of her helping, her in the arch, her helicopter ride and some of her other fav's

Getting READY FOR THE BIG DAY!!!

We shopped for our "First Day Outfits" , bought TONS of lunch items, took showers, had ice cream for snack, in bed by 8:30pm. The girls could not settle down. I had to tell them they would loose privileges if they did not go to sleep and stop giggling (but inside I remembered the night before the first day excitement and jitters) I would stay awake most of the night, but finally about 10pm they had calmed enough to fall asleep.

Danny on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the shopping if it would not include him getting Pokemon cards at the store. I did get him a new outfit (and I was excited that he liked it). He got right into bed and when I made it into him to kiss and hug goodnight he had already started to fall asleep, I whispered "are you sleeping" his reply"I cant fall asleep with out a kiss from you"

Man, they make you so glad you are a Mom!!!!!
Wish me luck on putting all three on the bus tomorrow, big blubbering idiot I will be!!!!!!

Kindergarten Orientation

Thursday morning there we were up and ready to go meet the teacher for Emily. Cheryl called and asked for Danny and Bailey to come over and play with the kids so she could get some stuff done (Bailey just takes care of Kennedy like she has been babysitting for years). Emily was upset at first that she wanted them to go with her ( I think she was wanting the comfort of her big sis and brother with her to help her out). After I explained to her that she would have me all to herself she quickly changed her attitude.

So she is now very excited, she got to ride the bus home to "Practice" and she is ready to go to Kindergarten.

I DON'T CARE HOW TUFF I ACT, THIS MOMMA'S GONNA BE CRYING HER EYES OUT AT 8:30 AM MONDAY MORNING!!!!!

Meet the Teacher

Bailey and Danny had meet the teacher night on Tuesday, they are both extremely happy with who they got. They looked and acted like old pros in that building. Tomorrow is Emily's meet the teacher and she is nervous and excited.

Oh yeah, Bailey got to pick up 1 pair of her new glasses last night. She has gone back and forth with them and she really likes that she can read words much better now that she has them.!!! The other pair got broke at the lens lab..............Darn it those were the ones that Dan liked the least.................... She went today to pick out a new pair and they are even cuter than the blue ones. We will post pictures when she gets them.

Bailey is sporting a new look!!!!!!

Well, she fought it for a year but the headaches kept getting worse all summer long. Bailey went back to the eye doctor today and she picked out her glasses...........................................We started at Clarkson Eye Care for her to be re- exam, but the selection was not what we were wanting. So we left and went to America's Best and she was getting a little more excited cause she got to pick out 2 PAIRS. So the reality of it is starting to grow on her......................She is still really not sure about school with them, I think she is worried about what her friends might say!!!!

Mommy time, I'm lovin it!

Okay so I did 6 weeks of Kids Kamp and now this week MY kids are going to camp. I enrolled the kids in Camp for this week up at Norwood. The are doing crafts, tie dyed t shirts, golf, tennis and swimming every day. They are really loving it. So yesterday I did the gym after I dropped them off, teacher supply store, went to school to drop my stuff off, then to the watch shop to get mine and Dan's watches fixed, and back to Norwood by 1 to have a quiet kid free lunch with my husband .

But today, oh today was also a great day........ Dropped the kids off, went to my follow up apt for my sinuses (looking great by the way), Haircut, Chiropractor, pedicure, lunch and then picked up the kids. Wow it is amazing what you can get done when you are kid free!!!!

Tomorrow is golf and lunch with my niece Danielle (who by the way needs some adult time also, she has a 2 1/2 month old)

Sorry don't mean to rub it in but after 32 kids a week for 6 weeks.............. I AM ENJOYING IT!!!

We did it!!!

Well we made it through another summer of Kids Kamp and we loved it! Danny was really sad it was over. He already misses all his POKEMON friends. Man those kids love those cards and i just dont get it. But I am sure that my parents didnt understand my obsession with the garbage pal kids either. Now is our summer. We have lots planned. We plan to hit the magic house, movies, pool, kids are going to summer camp this week up at Norwood for 4 days and they are really looking forward to that. I am getting my toes done, going to the doctor without kids with me, gettting my hair cut and playing golf with my niece and sister-in-law this week ALL BY MY SELF!!!!!!!!!!! School starts in 21 days for the kids and 23 for me!!!

It was NOT a waste!

So I went for my follow up today, and Dr. J says that even though there was not a huge mass of junk anymore I have still managed to fix future problems. So now I am happy I did it and will be very happy this winter and in the spring when the problems really hit. The total recovery time is 12 weeks long so I will be ready for cold season!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 Days and counting!!!!!!!!!!

Well our Summer Kamp is coming to a close, Only 5 more days! What a cool summer again this year. Cheryl and I definitely learned A LOT. We know that 6 weeks is plenty long, even though a child is "potty trained" does not mean that we wont have MANY accidents, that when you host things like this in your home, YOU ARE ALWAYS WORKING, no matter how hard your worked in the 95 degree heat with a 10 degree heat index and your husband works in an office with out someone tugging on his shorts leg and asking "WHY" for everything you say, he STILL HAD A MUCH HARDER DAY THAN YOU. Oh yeah I forgot the "when is it time to........?" even though you just did that as a group 20 min ago and that child was not wanting to at the time. But enough about Cheryl and I's own kids at our kamp.......................... The rest was totally awesome! We had a GREAT group of kids again this year and plan to return next year but with a much SMALLER group. The kids and I have a lot to do in the next 3 weeks of the rest of our summer!!!! Keep checking back for the rest of our fun filled summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

32 DAYS TILL SCHOOL STARTS

All for nothing!! Hope not!!

Okay, so many of you know that I was having surgery on my sinuses...................... Well that was Friday. So I have surgery and the doctor says that my sinuses were not as bad as they were when he did the CT Scan. So now my question for the doctor is did I do it for nothing????? I hope not! You know the feeling of the worse cold you have ever had? Well that is what my head feels like only they do not let you blow your nose! I have some swelling in my face (not a lot) but enough to make it uncomfortable! Well I will see Dr. J Hanson on Friday and have to ask him if it was still effective even though there was not much to clean out!!!!!!!!

Enjoy your week!

What a Week We had

Well we headed to the Lake of the Ozarks for our trip this summer. We left on Sunday afternoon with Mr Dan's boat that he let us borrow. So we headed out got the boat settled, and spent the night in a hotel. First thing Monday we headed out on the lake. We spent Mon all day on the lake, Tuesday we spent the day with friends of ours that have a house in the 6 mile cove. We headed over by boat and played in the cove all day with them swimming, playing on pwc's and boat rides to site see and dinner. Thanks Heather and Jon for having us over to play!!! On Wednesday Danny wanted to hit the pool so he and i went to the pool and Dan and the girls hit the Lake on the boat again. Wednesday night Dan had to take a break to head home to check on Faye, she had a major incident happen. He came back Thursday afternoon and we continued our fun. On Friday we met up with the Johnny and Bob Meyer Families to play in the water. We did some tubing and swimming and went to there house that evening for dinner and fireworks. Saturday we did what the kids wanted GO KARTS AND PUT PUT!!! They waited all week long for that. It was full and fun but we needed a vacation when we got home we were so tired!!!!

Danny lost his tooth!

Well Danny finally lost his first tooth. He had 2 loose at the same time and lost both within a few days of each other. He was so excited. Boy the tooth fairy is very expensive these days!! I hope by the time Emily looses her teeth the price does not go up anymore!

Hope you are enjoying your summer!

Our Summer!

So far so good this summer! We have managed to make it to the pool at least 2-3 days a week after Kids Kamp, and the kids are loving it! The girls are in VBS this week, which Bailey told me she would not go under any circumstances. So Sunday night I convinced her that if she would just try it on Monday and if she did not like it she did not have to go back the rest of the week. Let's just say that she jumps out of bed, loves it, and bought the CD of music from the goodies table today.

Kamp is going great, our kids (Cheryl & I) are really liking it more than they thought they would. Every morning they want to know how long till it starts. Danny is loving seeing his soccer buddies that come, plus they are all making new friends that they did not know prior. I am really glad that they like it so much cause if they didn't, it would be a really long summer!!

We are taking a week off from Kamp this upcoming week which will be really cool.

Stay safe and cool !!! Hope your summer is as fun as ours!!

Monday, June 16, 2008

So I thought I would keep up since school was over!

WOW what a great start to a fun summer!!!! The kids got out June 2nd and on the 3rd we spent the morning preparing for Kamp. That afternoon we went to visit Dr. Hanson (Our Favorite ENT) Cause my new pulmonologist wanted me too. Well let me also back up to say, on Saturday morning we woke up to Danny complaining for the 4th day in a row that his stomach was hurting him, so off to the Dr. office we go- YEAH it strep. So that kills that day for us (Dan was out of town with his pals on a golf trip). So while we are getting a strep test on Saturday the Dr notices some kind of foreign object in Danny's left ear, pink and yellow in color. So I explain I am already going to see Dr. Hanson on Tuesday, maybe he can squeeze Danny in also. Yup, so we go, yeah Danny has 2 pieces of colored rice in his ear!!! (I had a rice bucket in my preschool classroom for the kids to play in that I brought home) Way to go son!!!!

So anyway, Dr H sends me to get a CT scan of my sinuses (we are trying to figure out why I have been sick every 4-6 weeks for the last 11 months). And the result would be that I have chronic sinusitis. Yes that is a huge infection in my cheek sinus which will not clear up with even all the antibiotic I have been on, result.............. they are going to due surgery and drain that sinus cavity......................Yeah, my 3rd surgery in 13 months.............. I believe that I should know the nurses by now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So anyway back to the fun stuff. I took the kids to the Zoo with a friend on Friday before we started Kamp and the kids had a blast!!! Danny was obsessed with having his picture taken with the animals butts.

So we started our Kamp last Monday, when it was over on Tuesday we headed to the pool in St. Charles (oh the kids had so much fun) we stayed there till about 6ish, and turned around and did it again on Wednesday except we went to Norwood on Wednesday and Dan met us there after he got off work. Then on Friday, the day Danny had been waiting for.......... to the movies to see Hulk. WOW was that good, but make sure you go see Iron man first if you have not seen it!!! What a fun first week. Can't wait to see what this week brings!!!

Monday, May 26, 2008

it's been 46 day since my last confession........

Okay if you are Catholic you think that is funny (or not).
So lets see what has happened since then, our Anniversary big 8 years.
Spent the weekend in KC just hanging out with each other. I know it sounds crazy but I feel like we reconected and that we really needed that!
After we got home the following weekend I had an outpatient surgery which went fine, but had some blood pressure problems in recovery! Yeah, I know it could not just be cut and dry, I had to add some drama to it!!
The following weekend by Great Nephew, Jeffrey Thomas was born. What a doll baby!

We had graduation for Emily, and her and I last day of school (yeah baby), then Bailey's achevement party.

Oh yeah we also had Bailey's program which was very cute. Danny's program which was a tear jerker and Emily's steller performance in her 2 programs, one was the spring program for school and one was the graduation performance which was histericle. I will up date later this week with the pictures and videos from the shows.

Trade in time!

So Dan tells me to day that it is time for a trade in.................. he does not mean his car, he does not mean my car.......................... ME, he wants to trade me in.
Last Tuesday I start with my cough and sinus gunk but this time I am going to try and tuff it out. Yeah that got me all the way to this Tuesday with a trip to Urgent Care, 10 day of steroids and Antibiotics and the best part a cough so hard that I bulged out my disk in my lower back. Oh yeah and a referral to see a pulmonologist. So now I am starting to question?????? Everyone keeps telling me that the 1st year in child care you get sick a lot. So my question is, Have I paid more in co pays and prescriptions this year then what money I made?????
Wow this is one question I want to find the answer to, but I don't think that Dan will want to know the answer!!!

Boy do we have some catching up to do!

so here we go:
Easter was awesome! We enjoyed a great Breakfast, hunted some (I mean 9 dozen) Eggs, relaxed, Aunt Gail joined us for some Easter ham and off to bed. Non eventful day except for that snow storm we would have off and on.

So Monday morning 3/24, we are on spring break and boy do I have plans for us. I go to the gym at 5:30 am to get my work out in before anyone wakes up. I am going to have everything straightened up and when the kids get up we are going to get out and enjoy the nice weather, but wait who is that waking up at 6:30 am running a 102.5 temp?? oh of course, let's see the only Bloomfield child to not have the flu yet. EMILY.
So to the doctor we go, cause if it is the flu we are getting Tami flu. Yup we are positive. To Walgreen's. To bed. Great start to our spring break!!!

so Tuesday 3/25, yeah this is the day we would have spent at the ZOO. Yup home with the flu.

so Wednesday 3/26, yeah today would have been that day we were going to get a hotel room with the Rybaks, take them swimming, and have a great time!. YUP did not happen. But we did manage to go to the park for an hour. It did us all a lot of good, even Emmie. but then back home cause she still was not completely better.

so Thursday 3/27, so this is the day that I think might be our turn a round she is breathing good, she is up and moving and getting stir crazy, so I talk to Cheryl and if there are not changes by noon we are off to the Holiday Inn St. Peters for a little swimming, and playing with our friends. We meet up there at 4 ish. swim for an hour, Danny had a soccer game so we took the kids to watch, then picked up dinner from Pasta House, took it back to the pool with us and played till about 10:30 ish. Got everyone ready for bed and the REAL FUN BEGINS.
Breathing disaster!!!!!!!!!!! Em is up all night just coughing her head off. about 4 am she wakes up just barking like a seal. I fly out of bed, get her treatment started, and throw on my cloths (the best part was Cheryl and I had adjoining rooms), so I tapped her door to tell her Em and I were off to the back of the Parking lot (Barns St. Pet). I am so bad that I did not even put her in a seat belt. CROUP! yuck I hate that. Cus this stupid illness only is horrible at 2,3,4 and 5 am.

So FRIDAY you know where we were??? Yup home with Croup. We did go back to school on Monday, but goodness what a s**tty spring break! We had to miss Bailey's 1st out door game cause Em had to be home (she really never even wanted to get out of bed or her pj's)

Saturday, March 22, 2008

Twas the night before Easter and all through the house....

oops....... that would be Christmas! Ha, just kidding! So Friday started as a much better day for Bailey. We had our carpets cleaned that morning so the kids got stir crazy having to stay off of them (i think this was the only time I asked them to play on there webkinz and they didn't want to). Anyway, our neighbor Melissa stopped by and as I was in the driveway talking to her, Bailey started one of her cough attacks, so we went in to give her a nebulizer treatment (Yes, they were still Emily's) and that was not working, she could not catch her breath, and was having trouble talking, and kept gaging like she would throw up. All right now I have had enough!!! Off to St. Joe's West we went. Only to wait and wait and wait. (this is all about 6:45 ish i think) We were sitting with people who had been there since 3 PM. They had no pediatric beds available! At this point she had calmed down, and I was thinking maybe we could go home and go to urgent care tomorrow for an x-ray. Just then they called us to the 1st room. Took all her vitals, got the scoop and told us that they were getting ready to release 5 kids from the er and we were 3rd on the list. (Oh yeah, for got to tell you about 3 families left after we discussed the 4 hour wait, bad for them to wait all that time when it was less then 30 min from being seen at this point, but awesome news for us). So anyway, we get called back wait about another hour to be seen by the DR. then get x-rays (at this point now there are only about 3 families total there). In the end, Bronchitis........I should have known that.............. for Pete's sake, I have only had it 8 times since July 07 (seriously I really have had it 8 times).

So, the jest... I was going good by giving Emily's treatments, she is feeling a little better each day, gets tired by 4 ish, and in bed tonight at 7pm sound to sleep!

Danny and Emily had there first outdoor soccer games today, Bailey had to skip hers today.

Hope the Easter Bunny brings you lots of Candy!!
Sleep tight!

We are getting better!

So today is Friday and it is our first day fever free and up off the couch for over a 2 hour time frame. Her cough is not as bad today (I was giving her albuterol treatments of Emily's for the past 2 days and they were working). I am not letting her play soccer this weekend (I have not told her that either yet.) But I want her COMPLETELY WELL. We got the carpets cleaned today, house smells awesome. I have opened windows (closed the doors to that room) and I am airing out the house little by little. We have Spring Break this week after Easter and I really want to do some fun stuff, so we need to stay healthy!!!

Have a good weekend!

Tuesday, day 3 for Bailey

Today is day 3 of the flu for Bailey. She does okay during the day but come 5 pm the fever spikes, and we have been going till about 3 am with the high fever and her up crying that she feels so bad. Remember when 2 weeks ago I told you Danny Boy was a GREAT patient. Yes, let me tell you he is my choice of patient. Even though he would run high fever there was no crying and if he did wake up at night, it was short lived. She is making me really tired. Tami flu is not the medicine of choice that is for sure. She keeps asking if we can just go to the doctor and they can give her a shot to feel better (yes, we will all be getting the flu shot next year) but she would rather get a shot then take medicine. I don't get this kid!!! I did get 2 doses of The tami flu in her yesterday (each one the threw up within 10-15 min) and now today she is refusing cause she said it will make her throw up again. (I do have to say in her defense, I smelled the stuff and yuck!) She says "It tastes like poop" Cheryl wants to know how she knows what poop tastes like!!!

Wish her well! Oh yeah by the way, our Doctor sent Emily a prescription of Tami flu out to take so that she will not get it!! YEAH, we just MIGHT be DONE with THIS JUNK!!!!!

Round 4, can there be any more?!?!?!

So after a great night at HSM on ice, the kids had to get up on Friday and go to school, but only till noon. I picked up Bailey and Danny at noon when Danny got off school and we headed to the lake for the weekend for the St. Pat's parade. Well Friday was a beautiful day. Emily left with Dan at 8 AM and she and her Daddy played 18 holes of golf, at lunch at the club house and had a great day together. Danny, Bailey and I arrived at about 3 PM. Unpacked the car, Dan and Bailey headed out the door for another 18 holes of golf. Emily, Danny and I headed to the outlet mall for some shopping! WOW I love that place. Danny and Emily spent some of there birthday money at the KB Toy store, and Emily picked out a very pretty Easter Dress at the Children's Place. We met up with Dan and Bailey for some dinner then back to the Condo.

Saturday morning arrives, We all head to the club house so Dan and I can get a little workout in. (kids just went with us cause its a really small place). On the way back to the condo we took a vote and decided (well all of us but Emily) that it was way to cold and rainy to go to the parade this year, so instead we would go to the Timber Falls Water Park over at Tan-tar- a (yes, it is indoors). But everyone also decided that we would relax for a while and go after lunch. So everyone of us (yes the kids too) all took a nap, then headed out to the water park about 3 pm.

What fun we had. The kids are now old enough that they could run and play and touch bottom on all the pools there (the deepest is 3ft). They played long and hard (so did Dan and I) They loved the water slides, lazy river, and the girls loved the hot tub the most! Almost 9 pm (it stays open till 10 pm) I told Bailey they had only about 10 more min, and she asked "Can I just get out now and get dressed?" (note to self- this means your child is getting sick). So we grabbed some Burger King (yuck) on the way back to the condo and all 3 were wiped out!

Sunday morning, Dan and I are up and packing. We have a full day today- Dan and Danny are staying behind to play golf, while the girls and I are heading home. Emily has a birthday party for her friend and preschool, and I am going to unpack and get ready for the Birthday party at my Mom and Dad's house that afternoon for both my brother's, both of there spouses, and both Danny and Emily (we do birthday's in quarters in my family). So along comes 9:30 ish and the kids start waking up.............. Bailey is burning up!!!! Well, I have Tylenol and Motrin but no thermometer (note to self- start packing that also). So we load the cars up and each head our directions, only now mine has to take a detour. We get home, unload the car and head up to the Pediatric Urgent Care (its new on Hwy K and laurel Hill next to Starbucks).

1st the doctor swabbed the throat for sure that it would be strep. negative. Next the nose swab for influenza. Positive. Do you think that the drug company's could make the tama flu something that could taste decent for these kids? No way- even with flavor x from Walgreen's she thinks it tastes like crap! And when this kid is sick and does not like the taste of a medicine. SHE WILL NOT TAKE IT!!! I think drug company's should use her as a taste tester.

Any way- So needless to say, here I am home for week 3 out of 4 with yet another flu kid. She had me up a lot last night running a high fever. For a little while she was at 104. I was washing her down with a cool wash cloth till we got her back in the 101 range.

Say a prayer for us that we can get this tama flu in her so this will be a short lived bug for her!!!

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

High School Musical on Ice!!

So you pay $30 to attend the show, you find a decent place to park under $10, you get approached by 2 huge guys in the parking lot to buy the T-Shirts they are selling for $15 each and you do so they don't steel your car while inside. Then inside your kids act as if they did not just eat at Pizza street 1/2 hour ago, to they want Popcorn, Nachos, High School Musical water bottles filled with Snow cones. At the end of it all and $200.00 later, the smiles on there faces though out the whole show and watching them sing along to the music is just the greatest feeling and it really makes it all worth it!!! We went with the Rybak's and Cheryl's 2 nieces, Taylor and Madison.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Spot

Today is Dan's Dad's birthday. He died 10 years ago this coming September, so my children have never known him, but boy do they know him in stories. They love when Dan and their Uncle Pat or Jim tell them stories about Grandpa Spot. I have even heard them exchanging stories with their cousins before.

Well here is a cute story that brought a tear to my eye (and maybe even Dan's too):

Danny, Emily and I left preschool today, and went to the store to get each of them yet another WEBKINZ (they love those things) They had both gotten money for there birthday and they wanted to each get one. So we are driving and Danny asks "Mom, was the other morning Emily's Birthday?" me- "yesterday was Emily's Birthday, remember we gave her presents and went to dinner last night?" Danny- "So then that means today is Grandpa Spots Birthday right?" me-"you are correct, you have a great memory" at this point Danny and Emily start to sing "Happy Birthday to Grandpa Spot" It was very cute!!

So Happy Birthday Grandpa Spot!!!! (and as Danny said, and many more!!!)

She woke up easier than normal! I think it was the, I want my presents now and not have to wait till Daddy gets home from work tonight!!! She took cupcakes to school and when it is your birthday the whole school sings to you at chapel!! She really liked the attention!

We talked her out of the Chuck E Cheese adventure and went to Joe's Crab Shack. Grandma Denise joined us (Grandpa was bowling) She really liked the song they sang to her and I got it on video- check it out here! Again, she really loved the attention! She will be some type of performer! Oh but what kind is the scary part!

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY DANNY BOY!!!

My boy is 6 today! WOW! Well the girls stayed at Mom and Dad's last night so Danny got Mom and Dad all to himself this morning! First he informed us that since the girls did not come home last night, "HE WAS NOT WAITING FOR THEM TO OPEN HIS GIFTS" So after he opened the gifts from Dan and I we took him to breakfast at Hometown Buffet. (his choice) Then to Sports Authority to get his Basketball hoop. He has been wanting on since Christmas and when he was getting ready to open his gifts this morning he informed me that one was not big enough to be the basketball hoop, where was it?!?!? So we did find one and it was on sale!! Now we just need the warm/dry weather to get it into the ground! Later that afternoon the girls and my parents met us at Chuck E Cheese for some crazy fun!! yeah right, 100 screaming kids and $70 later (gosh I really do not like that place, but it is his Birthday) Emily keeps telling us that she wants to go on Monday for her birthday (oh I think I will have to pay her not to!)

We ended our day with Bailey's soccer game and oh my goodness THEY WON! And it was an AWESOME game! Bailey played her best game ever! (she has been in a slump lately)
We were so excited for the girls, this is only there 2nd win all year!!!!!

Is it ever going to end?!?!?!?!?!

So the day started pretty good. When Danny went to bed last night (about 7:00) Dan said he had spiked his fever again. But woke up this morning with out one!! Yeah! So I had a Dr. Apt so I took him with me. Still NO fever!! Yeah!! So..... let's run to SUPER WAL-MART, we are right here by it.....................Still NO fever!!! But he did say he was getting really tired. Understandable, he had been down for 4 days already. We get home, all our stuff unpacked, I am on the phone with my friend from work Alissa. Out walks Danny, no pants on, and tears in his eyes....................... I had diarrhea and threw up. CRAP AGAIN!!! So I strip off his shirt and put him in the shower to clean off. Clean up the bathroom, get him dressed back in his Jammie's and into bed. Poor guy! Cause the girls and I high tailed it out of there as soon as Dan got home! We headed up to North County to see my younger brother Rick for his Birthday. We had fun. Hope he is better for his birthday tomorrow!!!!

Day 4, oh lord how much more?!?!

Danny is day 4 fever and flu. Ran at least a 101 all day yesterday, and woke up with 102 today. He is on Tylenol / Motrin every 3-4 hours. He is in great spirits (he told me he loved spending the week with me) He is such a good patient. He watches TV. Lays on the bed then the floor, ,then plays game boy, then more TV. Has a small bite (usually dry cereal or min sandwich, lays around some more. Not demanding at all!!

I cleaned this house top to bottom yesterday! Bailey informed me that " Our house has not been this clean in YEARS"
Thank you Bailey for that piece of information! I love the honesty of children!
Have a great Thursday.

So Now I am at day 3!

Okay, so Danny woke up sick on Monday (we stayed home). Yesterday was a snow day (we were home). Danny woke me at 6:30 am this morning with a 102.5 fever!! Can you guess where I am?? Not at work. Lets see, that is 2 weeks today that I have not been to work (let's be clear that on Thurs, Friday and Yesterday were snow days, but still. I missed a week for me last week and now 2 days so far this week with him.
I was calling Dr's office at 2 min to 8 until I got through at about 10 after. We jumped in the car and headed to the office. Can you guess???????? THE FLU! Who would have thought?? Doctor said "that's why we say 24 hours fever free" Yeah, yeah, yeah, I wonder if I still even have a job after this?!?!?!
Have a better Wednesday than us! And please pray we get this out of our house soon!
Jeanne
Oh yeah, by the way, I will be cleaning all day if you need me!!

Finally a little snow!

Okay so we got a wopping 2.5 inches of snow finally!! Yeah St. Peters!!!! Look you can still see the edges of our deck. It is not even 2.5 inches of pure inches all over!!!

Bailey is trying to make snow angels on the deck and almost went to the wood!! Not enough for a snowman that's for sure!!!
Pray that we have school tomorrow cause lord these children will not last another day at home this week! (Oh wait, I'm the one that will not last another day at home!)
Till next time,
Jeanne

Snow? What Snow????

Okay, I know some areas are getting a bunch of snow right now, but St. Peters? Yeah, not so much!! These pictures were taken at 10:45 AM. Bailey was CRYING this morning, she is so mad she is off school. He words "who made this stupid decision?" Well if you are off today, I hope it was worth it more to you than us!

since we are not snowed in I told the kids we will go to the store and pick out there Birthday Cakes for there Birthday's this weekend. Danny has the big 6 years Birthday on Saturday and Emily will be 5 on Monday!!! They are so excited.

Go sledding one last time for us if you can!

Love,
Jeanne & Kids

CRAP!

That's all I can say! When I was in the shower at 6:45 AM Danny came in the bathroom crying telling me his belly hurt him. I had him go lay on my bed till I got out of the shower, thinking to myself "there is no way I can miss work yet again" the last time I was at work was Wednesday 1 1/2 weeks ago. I got sick that Wednesday afternoon, we had snow days Thursday and Friday that week and sick all week last week with Pneumonia. Finally going back to work and bam. How can we get him to school today????? Well I made him come in the kitchen to have some breakfast hoping it was that he was hungry or need to go to the bathroom. About 3 or 4 bites of cereal, and WHAM, throwing up in the kitchen.
How do we get rid of this crap??????
Well, as he lays around today I will be CLEANING, CLEANING, CLEANING!!!!

Hope your Monday is better than ours!

On the upward bound

Each day I am feeling better. I am hoping this illness is about beat and I will be back at the gym later this week to start my workout again.

I am sitting here typing and Bailey is next to me reading every word I type. WOW how big she is getting and I don't even think about it till things like this happen. She has been passing out her Girl Scout cookies, she did a great job selling them.

Danny had a great soccer game today, they lost but he played better than he had in a while. He had a fun weekend at Grandmas. He loves to go and get spoiled.

Emily had an awesome day yesterday, Aunt Kath (Bailey just told me this should say "Aunt Crazy") anyway, Aunt Kath picked her up around noon, took her to lunch, went shopping for her birthday, and went bowling, and to dinner. She didn't get home till after 10 PM. She was so excited about all the fun she had, said "It was her best shopping fun day EVER". You should see the Hannah Montana wig she got! WOW EMILY WITH LONG BLONDE HAIR!!!!!! I will have to take a picture and post it on here.

I am hopping Dan is not coming down with something, he was sleeping at 7 tonight! But he did a full day today: 18 holes of golf, soccer practice with Bailey's team, Danny's game (watched this one), and dinner with the wife and kids. I guess that is enough to knock anyone out!!

I hope you all have a great week! I will keep you posted of our crazy life!

Bummer day

The real bummer to last weeks snow day, its having to work today! Emily and I were going to be off school today (Tues, 2/19) but since we had a snow day last week..... we have to make it up today. Yeah, Yeah, I know that I will be happy when I do not have to make it up at the end of the year, but today just would have been a great day to stay in bed!! I must be coming down with something!!!

The Real Valentine's Day !!

I would never have been so excited about a party for someone at Dan's work, but hey a night out without the kids, and a hotel room, and alot of fun!!

Dan's boss had his 40th Birthday party at Luminare Place (the new casino downtown). Dan and I are not really gamblers, but hey when it scores you a hotel room, and no kids for the night, well lets just say it was not really hard to stay up till 4am.

That place is really nice. We had a great time, just hanging out. Oh yeah, we DID NOT WIN ANY MONEY!!!!

To bed early tonight, I can't keep up with that kind of fun!

Happy Valentine's Day

What a crazy day! I tell you, what ever happened to being swept off your feet on February 14th??? Normal crazy day of school, parties, and to home having to get everyone fed and Bailey to PSR, and have to stay and work scripts also!!!
I do have to say, the kids and I surprised Dan Tuesday night with dinner on the table and lights out and candles!! That was our Valentine's day dinner and the kids had a lot of fun with it!

Sunday, February 10, 2008

WE WON! WE WON! FINALLY!

Oh yeah! After about a year worth of losses, Bailey's team finally won a game! They were not even excited about it! Oh well. At least now I know they are not heart broken when they loose!!!

Ash Wednesday

Boy you would think I was the worst! I made my kids go to Church tonight for Ash Wednesday. Each one of them told me "THEY WERE NOT GETTING THOSE ASHES ON THEIR HEADS" THEY DID NOT WANT TO GET BURNED BY THEM!!!! Even though I explained many times that the ashes were not even hot! This was like a chapter right out of a Junie B. Jones book, I am telling you!!

Danny then told me later that he was glad he did it cause God would be happy with him!

I will not even put into writting what Bailey said!! It's good to know that those PSR classes are working for her! ha!

Hail Storm 2/5/08

WOW, what a hail storm we got last night!!! I think it was about an inch of hail!! The gutters were overflowing, the yard was flooded and everything was covered in white (looked like snow) We lost our phones, dish, and computers for several hours. Check out our pictures of the hail that we got!!

Well, call me crazy. Cheryl and I have decided to do our Kamp again this year. We are only going to do 6 weeks instead of 8 this year so that we get more time to do stuff with our own kids this summer! Registration kicked off on Monday and WOW it was a good one! On some weeks we only have 4 or 6 spots left (we are doing 20 kids a week this year, which is up 10 from last year) And we have only opened it up to last years attendies first. I have a feeling it will be another fun one!!!

If you know anyone intrested please send them our way! The kids all have a blast and it is only $15 a day!!!!

Super Bowl Sunday!

We started our day at the gym to work off our up coming eating spree!! Good thing cause a spree it was!
4.8 lbs down I am! Yeah me!

We spent the afternoon and 1st part of the game at my mom's house which had a much smaller crowd this year, but very enjoyable. We ate a lot of food, laughed at a lot of commercials and headed home to the couch.

Bailey was not feeling good, we left mom's at 6:00, she fell asleep in the car, and did not get up till 7:30 on Monday Morning. I kept her home from school cause she said she still did'nt feel good, but I think she was much better around lunch time!!!!

Our First snow day!!!

Okay so the weather man was right this time. The snow fell, and fell and fell. The kids enjoyed it a lot, but even more so they enjoyed the day off school. Danny still had a soccer game that night at 8:50 PM (so late for that age I think) .

Hope you enjoyed the snow! Now I am ready for the Sun and Warm weather!!!!!!

This week......

Well, my friend Cheryl has had my bottom to the gym 4 days this past week!! Up at 4:45 am to do 2 miles on the treadmill then back that evening for a class, Wow she is tuff. Good thing I love her!!! Anyway, it has felt great! I hope I can keep it up.

The kids had a normal week, knock on wood, no one has been sick. Danny said a few days his belly hurt, but not enough for him to miss school (so I say).
Tuesday night we had Math night at school, and the kids had a blast. I learned alot too!! Simple, easy and fun ways to challenge them in math. You would not belive that those kids won an attendance prize!!!

Today we had our great snow start, and the kids are praying really, really hard for a snow day tomorrow!!!!

Till then!!!!!!!!!

Stay health!

Okay, I'm Keeping up here!

Let's see, Great long weekend! I went Scrap booking in Ditmer, MO. Had a great time, caught up 28 more pages of our family album (2006 that is) but hey, I'm working on it! Great thing for me is that I am really together now with my pictures for the rest of my 2006 book and have started getting my 2007 together so that I can flow right on in to it. But most exciting for me is that I have my last Monday of the month events to attend and an overnight in February and I am hopping by March (keep my fingers crossed) I will be working on My 07 book and getting it done by fall only to try and catch up with 08 at that point! Oh well, at least I know I will never run out of scrap booking to do!!!!

Dan is doing great with his knee. He is recovering very well. He wished he would have done it sooner! He is hoping to be on the golf course by next weekend! His mom moved to a skilled nursing home last Monday and seemed to be making a little progress only to end up back at the hospital last night. With breathing and heart issues. They have her stabilized and hopefuly will start the recovery process again!

Bailey closed up her cookie sales yesterday! She fell a little short of her goal, but we will also get credit for booth sales that our troop will be doing, so she is hoping to make it up then!

Danny is playing soccer and getting his booty beat! There team is in a tough league this year! But I think he is still enjoying it. He is very excited and making plans for his upcoming Birthday! So excited to be 6.

Emily is Emily, she is board at school and cant wait to be a big kid. She is also planning her upcoming Birthday and excited to be 5. Kindergarten registration is the same week as her birthday and she thinks that is so very cool.

All 3 kids are wanting a Lizard of some kind! Man just what I need something else to feed, water and take care of. Sometimes I think that I cant wait to make it to a nursing home for someone to take care of ME!

Thursday, January 17, 2008

Lets see!

Let's see, so we are back in the swing of school for the kids and I, started indoor soccer for Bailey and Danny, back to work for Dan, with a short break on Friday. He took the day off to have his knee scoped and repaired, surgery went great and he has started therapy. Faye (Dan's Mom) is back in the hospital (which is always a long road for her). She starts in with Bronchitis and dehydration and ends up staying for a while then on the skilled nursing before she ever makes it back home. This time we are hoping for a short stay!!

Bailey started her Girl Scout Cookie sales last Saturday, and she is funny with it. She will make her phone call, give her, "Hi, do you want to buy some gs cookies?" the she hands the phone off really quick to me cause she has no idea what the heck the cookie types are!!!! She set her self a goal of 160 cookies to get the item she wants, and she is having to work for it!!!

Kids and I are really excited about our long weekend, you would think that we had not had a break in months. To really top it off (which I have not told Danny or Bailey yet, is that Emily and I get off Tuesday also)

Have a great MLK weekend and hopefully you are lucky enough to get Monday off also!!!

Happy New Year (and Merry Christmas)

I know I said I was going to be better about this but hey it was the Holiday's!! Any way a quick catch up:
Christmas was great! Kids had a wonderful Christmas this year, the older they have gotten, the more fun they have become with the excitement. We started our celebration with the Bloomfield family at our house on Sunday the 23rd. It has been many months since we have all gotten together, and I thought it was the best gathering of all for us. Of coarse we were blessed to have the joke's of Jimmy that kept us in stitches, the kids all got along great and were so excited to spend time together. Our next stop on our holiday adventure was on Monday the 24th. It was our annual Drezek family party at my mom's house. The kids were so excited cause Grandma and Grandpa Drezek got them a Wii game! Yeah baby!! It was a great time with my bothers and there families, Grandma Dorothy and Gene and Marie and Amanda, and a visit from Jason, Sandy and Jaxon. They to finish up the party with the annual visit of Doug and Rick's friends are always a sure hit for the night of drinking.
"Santa was here" was the excitement of Bailey on Christmas morning, followed by "When can we wake Emmie?" Of course she was the last one up and the kids did everything they should not have to wake her. But they were all pleased with there gifts. We got to enjoy the day relaxing and putting together toys before we packed up to head to the lake!!! We spent Christmas day till New Years day at The Lake of the Ozarks. VERY nice and relaxing. Emmie has an asthma issue going on since Xmas eve so we got her on steroids and antibiotics to get through the week.

On Friday is when the real fun began (for all of us), we were joined by the Meyer and Williamson families at the lake. The adults got to do some major catching up, the mom's got to shop, the dads got to golf, the kids got to play each night till 1 am. We went to dinner, went to movies and yes, played many many hours of Wii. What fun it was. I had to have a day to recover from all the late nights (I am getting old you know). They all took off on New Years Eve Morning, but left many memories!!!!

We (Dan, Myself, and the kids) rang in the new year walking to bed! Oh how tired we were.
