Oh the Christmas Tree!

I am so bad, I forgot all the fun we had last Saturday putting up decorations and the tree. Danny was not very interested, JUST WANTED TO PUT THE TREE SKIRT AROUND THE TREE. Do Not really know why, but could care less about orniments.

Kids did a great job decorating the tree and not knocking it over during all of there fights!!

You know the whole Santa is watching you? Does it work for your kids??? I do have to say, the stockings were hung by the chimney with much care!!!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!

Seem to be the song of the day in our house today!!! My kids were so excited to wake up to White all over the ground!! They love this. First breakfast, then snow. Of course Danny grew out of all his coverall's and boots this year, so him and I had to make a Wal mart run first thing. Dan and the girls went out to get a start on the snow blowing!

Then off to the little hill by our house, only to come home for a rest and dry up the cloths, only to find out that our event to Grants farm was canceled due to snow. Grants farm closed today so to save the day Dan made a quick phone call and off to meet up with Uncle Pat, Ryan and Carly for some real down hill snow sledding!!! Dan even went to about 8 stores to find each of our kids a sled of there own.

He was by far the "Best Dad on Earth" today to those 3.

Only to finish there day, the got to have a sleepover at Ryan and Carly's, they will sleep well tonight. Dan already is!!!!!

Count down to Christmas!!

Okay, enough with the illnesses already!! We made it through Emily's flu bug, then Danny's last Friday. Monday and Tuesday night Emily last preschool performance :( I am so sad. She did a great job, she is blessed with Grandmas Denise's beautiful singing voice! A voice only the parents and grandparents could truly appreciate!! He He just kidding. Wednesday is when it hit me, oh no not the 12 hour flu bug, but 102 fever. I had to cancel Bailey's girl scout holiday party cause by 6 pm I will out with the fever. By Thursday night Dan took me to the Urgent Care, and I was blessed with yet another round of bronchitis this year and an infection in my lungs. Yeah, 10 days of steroids, meds and and inhaler!! Look our winter storm I need breathing room (no serious, breathing is tough with this crap!)

So anyway, I had to miss my work Christmas Brunch on Friday and miss a whole shopping day to finish up before next week arrives.

Please pray for no more illness in this house!!!!!!!

lets play catch up !

Okay, seems to be my going rate here. A month between each post. Well, lets get caught up here. In November: 11/9-11th Bailey and I went on a Girl Scout Mother/ Daughter weekend to Trout Lodge. It was a weekend FULL of adventure! Bailey spent the weekend in trouble most of the time, but I hope since then we have worked through her issues. She got to do the rock climbing wall (which she LOVED) and did great at. She made it to the top in no time flat.

When we got home, we received some bad news that Dan's Uncle and Godfather had passed away. We were very sad.

Then Emily and I celebrated our Thanksgiving Feast at preschool! Very fun.

We had Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad and then off to the Lake we all headed. Gene and Marie invited us to stay with them this year at her Mom's house and we went and did our morning after Thanksgiving shopping! I really struggled. I stayed up till 2:30 AM with Dan, Dan, and Uncle Gene just laughing our butts off, only to get right back up at 4:30 am to head out shopping! Got some good deals and a great jump start on the shopping though!!!

After that weekend, we headed back for the stretch before winter break: We watched the Tigers get there bottoms beat with Pat and Carol & Kids, and Matt and Taunya & kids and had a nice relaxing evening!- Which let Carol to call me Martha Stewart- I still can not decide if she was being mean or nice- watch out Carol- Santa is watching you!!! HE he, just kidding, she was being very nice. (I think)

We had Brunch with Santa at Norwood on that Sunday morning! The kids had a blast!!!! Lots of face and body painting, lots of balloon animals, and a real REINDEER! Bo jingles, he crash landed at Norwood and broke one of his antlers. The kids are really into "Is this the REAL Santa, or is this one of the helpers?" We told them the Santa at the mall is the REAL one (my reason was that he had a real beard, and he was the first one we had seen this season) so all the Santa's with fake beards are his helpers. (Bailey feels his beard as he is talking to her and she knows the fake ones)

So on : Emily got the stomach flu that Wednesday morning (11/28) so I had to do some heavy duty cleaning! Danny got it then this Thursday night into Friday morning. He got up at 12:45 am to tell me he had a puke accident in his bed, he and I were up all night that night, poor guy go it bad!

He then could not go to the Winter Wonderland party at his and Bailey's school. It is a huge fundraiser they through every year. Pancake dinner, crafts, games, raffle baskets,and so on... Well, I am on the PTC board so it was a must that I was there, and well, I made it AFTER Dan got home from work. I felt really bad not to be more help but what is a MOM to do????

Time to reward them now!!

You see, we started something last year......................When Bailey would get a good report card, we would let her pick where she wanted to go (some place fun like roller skating, the park, ice skating, etc.) This time Dan and I decided WE would pick the fun for both of them. Aunt Kath called on Friday and asked Emily to spend the night on Saturday............. So let the FUN begin. We took Emily to Aunt Kath Saturday around noon and headed to Union Station for some lunch (the 4 of us, Me, Dan, Bailey and Danny) We were looking for Hooters (Danny loves that place) but they no longer exists there. So we each picked out our own lunch place. Went to the Fudgery (kids loved the songs and such) and headed to the CITY MUSEUM!! WOW what a day. We spent almost 7 hours there. Climbing, Running, Jumping, Crawling, Sliding, and a little eating. What a BLAST all 4 of us had. We had to drag the kids out of there after 8 PM. I was a little sore on Sunday morning, but it was all worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What great report cards they have!!!!

Well, that time of year.................... Parent / Teacher conferences and 1st round report cards!!!
Danny did excellent! We are very proud of him. His teacher says that he is very polite and contributes much to the class and is right on track in school. Bailey did great as well! She is doing very well and her teacher sees her as a leader, and uses her for special helps. We both agreed we could see her being a teacher!!

Wow I am getting my chops busted here!!!

Okay for all my blog readers!!!! I have been getting emails that I am not keeping you guys updated enough about the lives of the Bloomfield Kids.................so here it goes......................

Bailey- She has recovered from the tonsils and adenoids, back to school and back to soccer!! Yeah she is happy again. Her and I went on our first school field trip to the Magic house. It was a lot of fun. She hates to share me with the other kids so her and the little girl I had to watch had a little tiff but all turned out well. We ended our day with a wonderful rainy picnic at Rabbit Run park in St. Peters and we froze out bums off but hey the kids had a blast. This is her last weekend for regular season games, with just one make up to go after this weekend!! Yeah for Mom's schedule!!!

Danny- Well lets see he is doing great in soccer. He loves school. He hates that it is getting colder and he has to were pants (he absolutely hates pants) and he just goes with the flow. I am assisting with his Halloween party tomorrow at school and he is very excited about that. He got to go to Kids Choice Child Care center today after school so that I could be on Bailey's field trip (my friend Heidi owns it) and he now wants me to get a REAL JOB so that he can go every day after school!! I swear, if I did work they would want me home!!!!!

Emily- Well you see Emily is a story in her self. She is with me all the time now that I teach at preschool, so her famous line to me these days is...... "Mom, I would like to just do _____ with Dad, cause you know I see you ALL THE TIME". The other night I asked her if she wanted to go to the store with me and she told me " I think you should go by your self and have some alone time with out us kids, sometimes you need a break so that you don't get crabby and tried of us", wow out of the mouth of a 4 year old!!!! She is finishing up her soccer season this weekend also. Her team did very well this year and Emily did a great job scoring TONS OF GOALS for them. She really enjoyed Daddy being coach and she did very well with being fair about the other kids and not expecting special attention. She likes school but does not like all 4 days (or at least at 7:45 am she doesn't) but she is adjusting well.

Dan- He is doing great in his new job. He really likes it but gets very stressed out. He is loosing out on a lot of golf time these days I think!! He is spending the weekend with the boys at the Lake golfing. I am sure he will have a blast AND come home to need a big nap!!!!!

Me- Well, the life of MOM is always fun. I am enjoying my job, I love the kids I have in my class and I am so crazy with all that I am involved in some days I don't know what end is up, but it is what I want to be doing so I am.

Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. Surgery went great, she had a real hard time coming out of the anesthetic and freaked out starting pulling off the heart monitors and trying to pull the IV out but they gave her morphine right a way and I had to be the "Mean Mom" then the morphine kicked in and she fell asleep and woke up GREAT. They released us at 10 am and she is napping now. Please leave her a comment. I will print the page out for her next week so we can put them in her scrap book!!

Emily's soccer

Emily is loving soccer. She is a great player (after watching her 2 older sibling for all these years she has a good feel for the game.) She is having a lot of fun out there and with Daddy the coach!!

The Pumpkin Patch

The preschool that I work at and Emily attends had our annual visit to the Pumpkin Patch. Dan took the morning off to go with Emily, and she thought that was great! she had a lot of fun.

Taylor's Homecoming

For the 3rd year I got to do Taylor's make up for her Homecoming. As always she looked beautiful!

Brownie Sleep over

Wow! What a night. 14 girls and 4 adults for a sleepover in the back yard!! We had a lot of fun and surprisingly ALL 14 GIRLS STAYED.

Last Saturday night, our girl scout troop spent the night in our tent in the backyard. We went on a dinner hike, (just down to the neighbors house) for hot dogs, chips and salad, then continued on to another neighbors home around the corner to make a friendship fruit salad. All girls helped. Then back to home to make lantern's and roast marshmallows for s'mores. The girls were so good and had a great time!!!

And the BIG DATE IS..........

The date is set and the tonsils will be removed.......................... Monday, October 8th at 7:00 AM she is excited but I am sure that tone will change on the 8th about 4 pm!!!!

Did you hear the news??

Bailey is getting her tonsils taken out!! Doctor said that some other kids in another part of the world could really use them so they gotta go!

No date scheduled yet, but she is excited about missing a week of school and nothing but Popsicle's to eat!!!

We will let you know when the date is set!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!!

Dan celebrated his 42nd Birthday Sunday. He played golf, meet his family for breakfast, took a nap, coached Emily's Game, Danny and Emily each scored him 3 goals for his birthday. Then he got to take another nap but then he had to do some work cause he went out of town the next morning!! We love you Daddy. Happy Birthday!!!!

Wow it has been awhile!!

Okay so over the last 2 weeks, the kids have all had there first round of games! Boy what a difference 6 months makes. Danny is playing AWESOME, he is loving the game and boy is he getting in there. Emily is a POWER HOUSE, wow, she wants that ball and wants to score!! Bailey was a little itimidated her first game. She is playing up a year and on a much, much bigger field and she is going to have to get into that! There schedule is below, come check them out anytime!

To the lake to the lake!

We spent Labor Day weekend at the lake of the Ozarks. Dan and Danny played golf, girls and I shopped and spent lots of money!!!! Bailey spent a lot of her Birthday money shopping at the outlet mall (she had lots of fun). We went to Mrs. Judy's house and played in the lake with Aunt Marie and Uncle Gene. Great relaxing weekend. Then back home and no breaks till November!! BUMMER!!

It's my birthday, It's my birthday!!!

Well, she got to pick where ever she wanted to go for dinner for her Birthday and she picked BREAD CO! That's my girl! Grandma and Grandpa Drezek and Uncle Doug and Aunt Sarah joined us for the big dinner! The kids drove Sarah crazy (I am surprised she does not run far and fast) but they love her a lot! She thinks these gift cards and cash are the coolest thing in the world. Now she is trying to figure out what she wants to spend them on! She ended the night with getting sick. Running fever and soar throat!

Happy Birthday my Bailey Girl! I am just amazed that it has been 7 years already!!!!!

The hunt for the perfect Birthday treat!

Okay so we went to 3 places to find the perfect treat for Bailey's class mates for her Birthday tomorrow. And of all places we ended at Krispy Kreams- They made her colorful sprinkle donuts (SHE DID NOT WANT THE RED, WHITE AND BLUE ONES) So now she will have treats for school.. ROLLER BLADES, YEAH . We went so she could pick out her present today.....her choices.......... golf clubs (nah, I will just use Danny's), ..........new bike (nah, mine is fine for now even though my knees hit my handle bars)....................Skates YEAH I WANT ROLLER BLADES - OR IN LINE SKATES THAT IS. If I am writing about a broken arm or wrist anytime soon, it's all DAD's fault!!!!


Tomorrow is her big day. She is so excited and I am so sad................. I think I went to the hospital about now!!!!

Great Weekend!

Well, Dan and Bailey and Danny had an AWESOME weekend! Camping and floating with the Holladay Family, Wyble Family and Grandma and Grandpa! They got rained on Friday night but said Saturday was beautiful. They are home and stink!!! Early bath and bed tonight!!!

Emily and I hung out all weekend and did some Crafts, Cleaning, Crafts, Shopping, Crafts, Put up the kids new computer, and OH YEAH SOME CRAFTS!!! COME CHECK OUT ALL THE PRETTY NEW ART WORK IN MY HOME!!! WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE AN ART SALE!!!!

Big Birthday Girl

WOW how time is flying by in life. I really can not believe that Bailey is going to be 7 on Tuesday! She is getting so grown up. We went to the mall the other day and went to the store "Limited Too" and to "Children's Place" that girl could have spent $500 in each store. I promised her a trip to those stores when we go to the lake in a couple of weeks, outlet prices. So picky about cloths and shoes too. She had a melt down the other morning before school because she did not have the right shoes to wear!! OMG........ what am i to do??????

Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!!!!!

Bailey is playing on an U8 team this year Missouri Premier (about 4 of the kids she played with last few seasons) Danny is playing on the Rangers team again this year with all his buddies! and YES Emily is starting soccer this year, with Daddy coaching! What fun this will be! I will post the list of games when we get them if anyone wants to check them out

Finished a week!!

OKAY we made it through a whole week!! Emily came down with an ear infection on Thursday and Friday woke up with a fever and soar throat. We were all going camping/ float trip this weekend but Emily and I stayed back cause of her not feeling good. She and I are doing just fine by our selves. We have been doing crafts, watching TV, playing on the computer and hanging out together! I know I have enjoyed this time with her. She is really enjoying preschool all 4 days. Bailey would like for a break already. She is HATING getting up in the mornings again. Danny enjoys school a lot. He is really enjoying the bus even more!

Day 2, We will get into a routine here!

What a start to a CRAZY WEEK!! Bailey's first day of first grade was awesome, she really likes her teacher. Her bus did not get here till 4:50 PM which was way to crazy but it should get a lot better. Danny, well you seen these 1/2 day Kindergarten just are not enough for him. He wants to know why he can't just stay all day and learn more, have lunch and have recess. Emily has only had 1 day of Preschool so far (her and I got to be off today, our Tuesday/Thursday classes don't start till this Thursday! But she did tell me Monday that she had her best day ever at preschool and she wants to go every day! That's great news since she has no choice. We went today and had lunch with Bailey at school and both the girls enjoyed that A LOT!!!! The teachers were impressed how Emily was following directions better than some 1st graders! As for my 1st day well, a little crazy but I am not counting the job out yet! Actually, I have a great little class, very sweet and cute little class.
